Slow Down To Speed Up

It’s hard not to want to speed up and automate everything to try and keep up with all that’s going on around us. The best way to do that is to pause, breathe deeply into your diaphragm and slow down. The truth is we probably don’t need to do many of the things we are keeping ourselves so busy with. And if it actually is important you should have a team in place, SOPs and a system to get it done. Focus on cutting the unnecessary and never-ending ‘to-do list’. What one move can you make that will render all the other action items obsolete? Try to make it a game where you minimize the amount of moves you need to make to get the result you want. In today’s world your energy and attention is your most valuable resource and everyone is trying to get it from you. Whenever you feel hurried or like you need to catch up say to yourself, “Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.”
