One of my favorite books is Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse.

Siddhartha, a prince among Brahmins, decides to become a monk and he looks like a beggar.

He falls in love with a famous courtesan named Kamala. As he attempts to court her he is asked the following questions:

What do you have?

What can you give that you have learned?

His response is below:

In the end Siddhartha acquires all that he wants.
