If you feel like you taking care of yourself and being successful in your business are mutually exclusive I’m going to FIX that for you in this post.
I used to believe that being successful meant I had to burn my body and mind at both ends of the candle.
After all that’s what I mostly saw. And people took pride in it too. Of course that was the only way. I was hypnotized yet again.
Even when I took the time to meditate or work out in the morning and noticed the improvement in my performance throughout the day and more importantly the results I produced, my mind still fell prey to the idea that the way to the next level was to burn.
I felt that same sense of pride a lot of ppl feel from being busy. There’s this weird badge of honor we get from overworking.
The truth is that when I take the time to care for myself mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and physically I perform exponentially better than when I write those things off.
I get linear results at best if I push myself to work harder and usually diminishing returns on my inputs.
I get exponential results as at the minimum when I invest in my self care.
So why is this so hard? Seems pretty simple.
Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest things.
The hard part is doing nothing. The hard part is being still while you are in the flow of letting your work unfold for you after you have made inputs.
We overdo it. Just like a lot of people overtrain when they go to the gym.
To take your professional and personal life to the next level it’s imperative that you invest time in taking care of yourself.
You can’t give to someone else what you don’t have.
You have to fill yourself up every day.
If you want greater ROI on your outputs you need to improve the inputs in YOU.
The truth is taking care of yourself is a prerequisite to being successful in your business.
And when you do it right you’ll start to get exponential results for your business and your personal life with less inputs.
